Mercedes Moné On Another Match With Bayley: You Never Know In Wrestling

Mercedes Moné addresses the possibility of wrestling Bayley again in the future.

With rumours swirling about the future of Bayley, Mercedes Moné got fans talking when she took to her Instagram story to post custom graphic of her versus “Davina Rose,” which is another wrestling name that Bayley used in the past, for the WrestleDream PPV in October. Having fed into the speculation that the WWE star could be set for a move to AEW, “The CEO” has now addressed whether she could face Bayley again.

Talking with the Daily Star, Moné was asked about another match with Bayley, and she was forward about the opportunity and what it would mean:

“You never know in wrestling. That’s always a dream match for me. That is to have another match with her. She is one of my greatest opponents of all time. Of course, everybody knows one of our greatest matches together, Brooklyn, that really changed the way people viewed women’s wrestling. But yeah, it’s always a dream match for me. So you never know.”

Currently, Mercedes Moné is preparing for her bout against Willow Nightingale that’ll happen at All In: London in mine days, where she’ll once again attempt to win the AEW Women’s World Title. However, she’s not above looking to the future, and many wonder if that future will feature another match her career rival and former tag partner.

Bayley hasn’t been seen on-screen since she was taken out post-match by Lyra Valkyria at last month’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. With her future still very much up in the air, the latest update suggests she still hasn’t decided her next move. You can read more about that here.
