Adam Copeland Praises Tony Khan As A “Really Great Human Being”
Adam Copeland is full of praise for AEW President Tony Khan.
In the wrestling world, there is always a question of how “real” someone is away from the cameras, with plenty of examples of people not being what they appeared to be once you look deeper.
Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, AEW’s Adam Copeland made it clear that his boss, Tony Khan, is every bit as kind as others have made him out to be.
“Here’s the best example of how I can explain Tony Khan to the outside, or people who ask me. First night, first match there, we’re in Kansas City. I’m standing there with Beth and the girls. Tony comes flying up. He knows both girls’ names. He goes, ‘Hey, girls! I’m so happy you’re here! I’m so excited you’re here! Isn’t this great?” And then takes off. They looked at me and went, ‘Who is that?’ I was like, ‘Well, that’s my boss. That’s Tony.’ And they’re like, ‘Woah, he’s awesome!’ The guy loves wrestling, and he’s full of energy, and he cares. And when you boil it all down, the most important thing is he’s a really great human being. And as I get older, as I raise kids, that’s very important to me now. Before, you kind of just do your thing and the blinders are on. But now, where I conduct my business is important to me, and who I conduct it for. And Tony, man, he’s a good human being.”

Numerous wrestlers have shared similar accounts of Tony Khan, describing him as personable, passionate about professional wrestling, and willing to go the extra mile for members of his roster.
Looking ahead, Adam Copeland is set to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside Christian Cage, as the pair take on The Young Bucks at AEW All In: London on August 30 inside Wembley Stadium.
