Maya World Opens Up On AEW’S Support After Her Brother’s Passing

Maya World

Maya World shares that AEW extended their mental health resources to her family after her brother’s passing.

“The It Girl” has enjoyed a meteoric rise in All Elite Wrestling, making the most of every opportunity that has come her way and quickly establishing herself as a standout presence in the women’s division. Her journey has included earning ‘All Elite’ graphics alongside Hyan, competing in the Women’s Owen Hart Tournament, and capturing the TBS Championship.

During a chat with Poisonrana, Maya revealed that AEW head Tony Khan offered both her and her family access to mental health services following the passing of her brother.

“Tony has been amazing since it happened. They also had all these resources for me, like mental health resources, and also my family that they extended it to. It’s just been the best. I don’t know if anywhere else would’ve been so loving as AEW has been, so definitely one of those things where I had to just dive in and make myself busy. I’ve been on the road every week since, so it’s been great.”

The gesture offers another example of the support Khan has provided to talent during difficult circumstances. Other AEW wrestlers have also spoken positively about Khan in recent interviews, including Adam Copeland, who recently discussed his relationship with the AEW President. You can read more about that here.

Looking ahead, Maya World is the current TBS Champion and has become a prominent fixture on AEW television in recent weeks. She does not currently have a match announced for All In: London, though that could change based on comments made by Tony Khan during the PPV’s recent media call.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Maya World as soon as we hear more.
