Powerhouse Hobbs was not shy on letting the world know how he feels about Mark Henry.

Mark Henry is a professional wrestling legend, having a long and decorated career. The WWE Hall of Famer now finds himself working for AEW as both a commentator, coach, and analyst, and it appears as though AEW star Powerhouse Hobbs has taken a liking to Mark Henry, praising his work backstage with the company.

Recently on Mcguire on Wrestling, Hobbs spoke on the friendship him and Henry have developed.

“That’s my wrestling dad. He gets on me when I need it. It doesn’t even have to be about the good things, that doesn’t matter, but things that need to be fixed. Things that are going to take me to the next level. Things that I need to do to transition better. ‘This works, look at that camera even longer, do your snarl here, turn that red light on when you need to but turn it off when you need to.’ He treats me just like his children. It’s a blessing to have him. I go to him for things outside of the ring.”

When asked to describe Mark Henry in one phrase, Hobbs put the former World Heavyweight Champion over as someone willing to go to bat for hard-working talent.

“Someone who is willing to go the extra mile for you if you’re willing to put in the work.”

Hobbs last competed on the most recent episode of AEW Collision during the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament semi-final in a losing effort to Ricky Starks.

After the match, Hobbs appeared to distance himself from QTV, and thus it’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for the former TNT Champion.
