AJ Styles: I Hope LA Knight Wins A World Championship In WWE

AJ Styles wants to see LA Knight become WWE world champion.

Ever since his rise in popularity around 2023, a large section of WWE’s fans have been crossing their fingers that LA Knight will one day become world champion in the company. However, three years down the line, ‘The Megastar’ has lost every opportunity he’s had at a top title on the main roster, and viewers are still waiting to see if he’ll ever make the next step. Now, a WWE Hall of Famer has supported the idea that LA Knight should be a world champion in WWE.

Speaking on The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, AJ Styles said he hopes LA Knight becomes world champion in WWE.

“I do hope he gets to be World Champion. I really think he’s earned it. His mic work is pretty freaking awesome. He’s a guy that can hold a Heavyweight Championship, no problem and he’s got the mouth to back it up. I’d like to see it happen.”

Thus far on the main roster, LA Knight can reflect on two reigns with the United States Championship. However, with multiple matches for both RAW and SmackDown’s top gold and having unsuccessfully taken part in Money in the Bank, fans of the charismatic star have been left frustrated when it comes to reaching the top of the card.

After Styles heaped praise on LA Knight, it’s worth remembering that the pair butted heads at WrestleMania 40 back in 2024. In fact, in the lead up to their match, ‘The Phenomenal One’ and ‘The Megastar’ got into a brawl at a media event, with Knight recently revealing WWE’s reaction to the unplanned scuffle.
