AJ Styles Questions Why Bron Breakker Hasn’t Been World Champion In WWE Yet

AJ Styles believes Bron Breakker should be WWE’s next World Heavyweight Champion.
Since he returned from his hernia and reuniting with The Vision, many fans have been left wanting more from Bron Breakker. The second-generation star is currently holding the WWE World Tag Team Championship alongside Austin Theory, but, at the start of the year, a large portion of fans wanted him to be involved in the World Heavyweight Championship scene, something that hasn’t come close to materialising since the first RAW of the year. Now, it seems AJ Styles agrees with frustrations over Breakker’s trajectory.
During the July 26 episode of The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer challenged WWE’s decision not to put the World Heavyweight Championship on Bron Breakker. Styles pointed out that The Vision member is a star and should be next up for a title run.
“How long are we gonna wait for Bron Breakker to be Heavyweight Champion? He should be next. I think that he’s definitely a star right now. Why we haven’t put it on him to put the rocket up his butt and send him to the freaking moon? I don’t know why we haven’t done that because he is the destroyer. Yeah, well, he had to get a surgery done or he had a hernia or something, but the fact he was out and now he’s back and he’s even scarier than before. Like, let’s go. Let’s freaking do this because we all know that it’s all about the chase. The babyface chasing the heel. Bron Breakker is the heel. The Vision’s actually coming back together. They’re healing up and they’re coming back together. So, let’s see what we can do with those guys next. I’m not saying you got to split them up. That’s not what I’m saying. I’m just saying I think I’d like to see Bron as a Heavyweight Champion, but he’s not in a Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam.”

Breakker had feuded with Seth Rollins, his former Vision leader, coming out of WrestleMania concluding at Night of Champions in a steel cage match in which Rollins came out on top. With “The Visionary” now set to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, Breakker remains without a Heavyweight title opportunity of his own.
As for Styles, the star has taken a scouting role in WWE, searching the independent scenes and NXT for up-and-coming talent since his retirement back in January. “The Phenomenal One” also recently noted that he had taken over a coaching role at the Performance Center.
