EJ Nduka is no longer a free agent, and it appears as though that’s been the case for some time.

Former WWE and MLW talent EJ Nduka became a free agent earlier this year following the expiration of his contract with Major League Wrestling. Nduka made an appearance for All Elite Wrestling during the February 7th episode of Dark in a losing effort to Konosuke Takeshita, although he’s been absent from in-ring action since.

Fightful Select have now provided an interesting update on his contract status, revealing that despite not making an in-ring appearance since his bout with Takeshita, Nduka has been signed to All Elite Wrestling for “quite a while.”

“Fightful has learned that Nduka has signed with All Elite Wrestling after making his company debut back in January, facing Konosuke Takeshita. Nduka hasn’t been in the ring since then, but was seen around WrestleMania weekend festivities. We’re told he’s been under some sort of AEW deal for quite a while.”

Fightful had previously reported that Nduka was garnering interest from companies in Mexico and Japan, as well as there being potential for a return to WWE. Fightful added in their most recent report, however, that upon James Kimball being fired by WWE, several of the names he had considered bringing into the company weren’t followed up on at all.

AEW, on the other hand, are said to have been immediately interested in signing Nduka following his debut, although the specifics of the deal between the promotion and the 34-year-old are not currently known.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on EJ Nduka’s AEW status as soon as we hear more.
