More has come out regarding Hangman Page being turned away from Collision.

Earlier this week, Fightful Select reported that Hangman Page was originally set to be at the August 12 edition of AEW: Collision to film a pre-tape, though, this didn’t come to fruition.

Many speculated that CM Punk may have been in connection to the alleged removal of Page from the show, however, PWInsider later reported that the alteration was simply a change of location which would’ve happened regardless and was not to do with the Chicago-born star.

To provide an update on what happened with regard to Page’s pre-tape being moved, Dave Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Hangman was told not to go to Collision in order to ‘keep the peace’.

“When he was then told not to go to the building, the term used was “to keep the peace” and his promo taping was moved to another location in Greensboro. The story going around after was that it was Punk-related, with different people in the company with knowledge of the situation both confirming and denying that part of the story.”

Of course, keeping the peace eludes to the controversial nature of ‘Brawl Out’ last September, with the company keen to minimise any tension they may still remain between CM Punk and The Elite. Following last week’s show, Punk cut a less than flattering promo on Hangman Page, but has since apologised according to multiple reports.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on why the location of Hangman Page’s pre-tape was changed as we hear more.
