Johnny Gargano made a triumphant return to WWE on Monday Night RAW last night.

After signing with WWE in 2016, Johnny Gargano became the first ever triple crown champion in NXT. Gargano was a standout and fan favorite for half of a decade having incredible barn burning matches with; Aleister Black, Ricochet, Andrade Almas, and Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa would form one of black and gold NXT’s most fondly looked upon and often reminisced about tag team DIY.

Johnny Gargano however decided WWE in 2021 was not the time or the place for him to accomplish all he wanted to, instead it was time to be a father, Gargano did not renew his contract with WWE in 2021 instead taking time to spend at home with his wife Candice LeRae and their soon to arrive son, Quill.

With Quill and Candace assumably watching from home, Raw resumed from a commercial break and Johnny Gargano made his official return to WWE.

Early in the month of August, during a virtual signing Gargano assured fans that he was bound to turn up somewhere sooner or later, with the freshly re-debuted “Johnny Wrestling” arriving under Triple H’s creative regime, there is no shortage of dream matches for him waiting in the back.
