Earlier this week, Konnan sat down with Nick Hausman for an episode of his Haus of Wrestling podcast, during which the AAA booker revealed he believes Kenny Omega has re-signed with All Elite Wrestling based on plans being in place for his future with the company and future Triplemania events.

Dave Meltzer has now since dispelled these rumours during a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, stating that whilst Omega’s contract has indeed been extended due to injury, he’s yet to officially sign a new deal with All Elite Wrestling.

“Konnan did an interview and it got people thinking that Kenny Omega had signed a new contract and Kenny Omega is under contract to AEW, his contract was extended because he was out for, I think, nine months due to injuries. So, I believe that he is under contract until around November or December and that’s the situation but there is no new deal that’s been signed.”

As of writing, neither Kenny Omega nor his Elite stablemates The Young Bucks have put pen to paper on a new deal with AEW, with various reports indicating that WWE would likely be interested in securing Omega’s services should he become available.

The trio are currently engaged in a heated feud with the Blackpool Combat Club, although it certainly appears likely that the current IWGP United States Champion will feature on another Triplemania event sooner rather than later.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the contract status of both Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks as soon as we hear more.
