Lyra Valkyria Says She’d Love To Compete In AAA

Lyra Valkyria wants to work in AAA.

Since WWE’s acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide on April 19, 2025, a number of WWE Superstars have travelled to Mexico to compete for the promotion, including Dominik Mysterio and Bayley among others.

Speaking to Dom Smith for Soundsphere Magazine, Lyra Valkyria revealed that she would love to make the trip to Mexico for the first time to compete for AAA, with the aim of continuing to grow and evolve as a performer.

“I’ve never been to Mexico, so I feel like, oh, it’s a whole new world. The style over there… it’s such a huge element of wrestling that I haven’t even touched. Even just in terms of growing as a performer, I would love to go to Mexico. I keep hearing that the crowds there are, like, amazing. The atmosphere is electric.”

Lyra Valkyria went on to name recent WWE signee La Catalina and the current, longest-reigning AAA Reina de Reinas Championship holder Lady Flammer as opponents she would like to face from the promotion.

While Lyra Valkyria has yet to compete for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, her tag team partner Bayley has already made several appearances for the promotion. Bayley is currently set to team with La Catalina and Lola Vice at Noche de Los Grandes on May 30 to take on Las Toxicas.

Having worked her way from the UK independent wrestling scene to WWE’s main roster, Lyra Valkyria recently stated that she has absolutely no regrets about her career journey so far. You can read more about that here.
