The Elite & The Young Bucks’ Matt Jackson is reportedly dealing with an injury that could have him out of an AEW ring for quite a while.

Matt Jackson is currently involved in one of AEW biggest ongoing storyline which is unfolding between The Blackpool Combat Club, Hangman Adam Page & The Dark Order, & also The Elite. Last week AEW Dynamite started with the Young Bucks being taken away in an ambulance after being attacked.

Now it has been revealed by Bryan Alvarez & Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio that it was a cover up for Matt as he’s legitimately injured.

“Matt Jackson’s injured. — I just heard that it was a partially torn bicep and it happened in the match that they had in Canada, the awesome Winnipeg match, and apparently it happened early in the match and he worked the whole match with it. — So they dont know if he’ll need surgery or not was the last I heard”

– Bryan Alvarez

Dave Meltzer then added that he had heard that Matt Jackson decided to actually not get surgery –

“Okay so what I heard is that he opted to not get surgery so he’s hopeful of being back quicker. I mean surgery you’re probably looking at 7 months”

– Dave Meltzer

With Matt Jackson as previously mentioned being involved in one of AEW’s biggest ongoing storylines, it would of course be important for him to be back sooner rather than later.
