NXT Reportedly Set To Have At Least One Main Roster Talent Against AEW Grand Slam: France

While AEW is in France, WWE will push NXT to be as big as possible when they go head-to-head.

After the “Wednesday Night War” between AEW and NXT, which ran for 78 weeks between 2019 and 2021, WWE’s third brand moved back to Tuesdays. However, once a year, due to scheduling events on TBS and TNT, AEW is forced to do a special Tuesday show, this year coming on October 6 when the company hosts Grand Slam: France. Keeping the spirit of competition alive, WWE are planning to stack the show when the two brands clash next month.

According to an update from Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline, when this happens, NXT will bring in at least one talent from the main roster for October 6.

This follows the recent trend between the two promotion, including with what happened with All Out and Worlds Collide. In fact, recent reports indicated WWE chose the Worlds Collide start time to directly clash with All Out. You can read more on that here.

Regardless of the two events happening simultaneously, All Out ticket sales weren’t affected. Alternatively, Worlds Collide wasn’t streamed live. Not to be deterred, it’s been revealed the AAA show will now be broadcast next an hour before AEW Dynamite. Whether this has any impact on Dynamite remains to be seen.
