This past weekend, Ring Of Honor made their return from hiatus by putting on Supercard of Honor. The promotions first show since Tony Khan’s purchase.

The PPV seemed to get a good amount of hype going into it, most notably because a lot of fans were curious to see what this new ROH would look like, and of course FTR vs The Briscoes.

It appears that there was at least some good hype going into the show that was legit, as the show did a great PPV number in comparison to what they were doing before the hiatus and Khan takeover according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio:

“They did over 20,000 buys, between streaming and television. I don’t know how much over but they beat 20,000. Which to me, for that show considering all the stuff that was going on that night, considering what Ring Of Honor normally does, that’s a phenomenal number.”

The general opinion of the show was good, with many fans being amazed particularly by FTR vs The Briscoes and also the surprise ROH return of Samoa Joe at the end of the PPV.
