Following former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks & Naomi walking out before their scheduled Raw main event, WWE announced on Smackdown that the pair had been indefinitely suspended.

As a result, neither have appeared on WWE TV since, with both stars having their merch pulled from WWE’s online stores.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter have now provided an update on the situation, revealing that both stars’ indefinite suspension is without pay.

On top of the public reaction from WWE themselves, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter are also reporting that the backstage reaction to the situation has largely been negative towards Banks in particular, with Banks’ colleagues seemingly siding with management.

“There is a lot of locker room conjecture and talk about Banks and Naomi, largely with Banks being portrayed negatively as Naomi supporting her friend but not being the catalyst of it. Even those who would normally not be pro-management were not anti-management in this case.”

Banks & Naomi were scheduled to take part in a six pack challenge on the May 16th edition of Raw to determine the number one contender to Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship.

Naomi was reportedly set to win this match and challenge Belair at the upcoming Hell in a Cell event, however plans have now changed and thus Belair will now defend her title in a triple threat match against Asuka & Becky Lynch.
