Thunder Rosa has been absent from AEW TV since being sidelined with an injury back in August of last year. As a result of her injury, AEW introduced the Interim AEW Women’s Championship, a title that eventually became the undisputed title once it was confirmed that Rosa would be out of action longer than the company initially suspected.
Appearing on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Rosa revealed that whilst it’s currently unknown when she’ll return to the ring, she is expected to be back on the road with AEW relatively soon.
“Since we’re talking about AEW, I’m probably going to be coming back on the road pretty soon. Not to wrestle, but we’re going to be out at AEW and showing face and being around all this stuff. It’s going to be nice to be around everyone and see how things unfold,”-Thunder Rosa
This past Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw Toni Storm and Saraya turn heel on Willow Nightingale and Ruby Soho, setting up a potential AEW Homegrown vs ex-WWE feud, and thus Rosa could potentially play a part on the AEW side of things.
As always, we wish Thunder Rosa all the best with her recovery from injury and will aim to provide any further updates as soon as we hear more.
