Trinity has commented on the support Mercedes Moné has shown her since the pair left WWE last year.

Back in May of last year, then-WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out ahead of an episode of Raw, with the pair being suspended indefinitely and later receiving their releases. Now, as Mercedes Moné and Trinity, respectively, the duo are both championship contenders and two of the most talked about names in the industry.

Appearing on a recent episode of Sherri, Trinity spoke about her relationship with the former IWGP Women’s Champion, stating that they share a special connection that goes beyond wrestling.

“It’s very difficult sometimes to get out of your comfort zone. She and I kind of experienced that together being in the unknown. Having her to confide in especially those times where it really did get hard. That’s my sister for life, our relationship goes beyond wrestling. We always had, I think, a special connection, just being together in the business over the years. Working together, experiencing things together, even real life stuff, we’ve just experienced so much together and I think is very special when you find people like that in the business that where it goes beyond the work. I love her. She’s the GOAT, the greatest of all time.”

Trinity currently finds herself competing in IMPACT Wrestling and is set to challenge for Deonna Purrazzo’s Knockouts Championship at Slammiversay in July.

Meanwhile, Mercedes Moné is currently sidelined with an ankle injury that she sustained during her match with Willow Nightingale at NJPW Resurgence to crown an inaugural NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion, with numerous reports noting that the former multi-time WWE Women’s Champion was set to win the title before getting hurt.
