This Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw “The Ocho” Chris Jericho defend his ROH World Championship against former ROH World Champion Bandido, in a match that had many clamoring for the company to sign the extremely talented luchador following a highly impressive showing. Immediately after Dynamite went off the air, fans in attendance in Philadelphia recorded AEW President Tony Khan embracing Bandido at the top of the entrance ramp, leading many to believe that the 27 year-old had signed with the company, although no official All Elite graphic has been posted at the time of writing.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now provided an update on Bandido’s contract status with AEW, reporting that whilst the company have indeed offered him a full-time contract, they’re still currently unsure as to whether Bandido has signed said contract.

“While we don’t have confirmation that Bandido has signed with AEW, we do have confirmation that he was offered a full-time contract immediately after his performance in the loss to Chris Jericho on 9/28 in Philadelphia.”

Bandido is undoubtably one of the most talented luchadors the pro-wrestling world has to offer today, and thus it was no surprise to those familiar with him that he gained a host a new fans following his performance on this week’s Dynamite.

We look forward to seeing what’s next for Bandido, and hope that it won’t be too long before he’s back on our TV screens.
