Will Ospreay Comments On Bringing Clockwork Carnage From Pro Wrestling EVE To AEW WrestleDream

AEW Clockwork Carnage

Will Ospreay discusses his excitement to bring his creation to AEW WrestleDream.

On last night’s Collision, it was revealed that a Clockwork Carnage match would take place at WrestleDream on October 17. The match debuted the night prior to the announcement at Pro Wrestling EVE, a promotion Will Ospreay works very closely with, and its arrival in All Elite Wrestling will see “The Aerial Assassin” defend the AEW World Championship against seven other competitors.

With fans still coming to terms with the rules, here’s a reminder of what to expect.

Following the announcement, Ospreay hyped up the match further via his X account.

Online reaction to Clockwork Carnage has been a bit mixed. Many are all for it, especially since it’s a new kind of match in AEW to shake things up. Others, though, wonder if the match is a bit too complicated. Then again, similar thoughts were had during the initiation of the Casino Gauntlet match, and that’s now become a staple of the company.

Clearly, Ospreay felt that since it worked well in EVE, and has faith in it translating to AEW. In truth, though, the verdict will come when fans see the match on a big stage later this month at WrestleDream.

This Tuesday, at Grand Slam: France, we will find out the first entrant into the match, as Jack Perry takes on Samoa Joe. You can find the full lineup for the show here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the Clockwork Carnage match as soon as we hear more.
