It is reportedly a priority for WWE to secure Becky Lynch to a new contract before her current one expires.

‘The Man’ Becky Lynch opened the first night of WrestleMania in a losing effort to Rhea Ripley and has been vitally important to WWE for years. However, the 37-year-old is one of many across the world of wrestling who have a contract that is soon to expire. In Lynch’s case, little was known about exactly when her current deal was up, but there is now an indication of its remaining length, with the company keen to ensure it doesn’t get to that point.

Per PWInsider, it’s reported that WWE are keen to renew Lynch’s deal before her current contract reaches its expiry. It’s noted that one source believes that the Irishwoman has about eight weeks left before potentially entering free agency, but this isn’t confirmed.

“We are told that the company is making it a point to insure that Becky Lynch’s deal is also completed before it expires. One sources believes Lynch has about 8 weeks left in her current deal, but we have not been able to 100% confirm the accuracy of that claim.

Shortly after WrestleMania 40, it came out that Becky Lynch would be taking time off from WWE, along with her husband Seth Rollins. Right now, it isn’t clear how long their leave will last, but it’s likely that the next time we see her on RAW or SmackDown will be under a new contract if the company are able to get it secured.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Becky Lynch’s WWE status as soon as we hear more.
