WWE Royal Rumble And AEW Dynasty To Take Place Across Same Weekend In February 2027

WWE and AEW will clash once more in the PPV space, but this time, on different days and on different continents.
Next year, AEW Dynasty will see a major shift in its location and air date, coming to Liverpool on February 7, 2027. As revealed during All In: London in August, the promotion will be taking a break from both Wembley Stadium and the August bank holiday weekend for their next UK offering, with the show set to be only their second non-Wembley event on British soil. This left the door open for WWE to plan around its rival’s show, and, with the Royal Rumble scheduled for February, we now know it’ll slot in the day before Dynasty.
Today, WWE confirmed the long-standing rumor that the Royal Rumble will air on February 6, making this a jam-packed weekend for fans of both companies.
This clash will be important because these will be the first PPVs for both companies in 2027, and both will want to make a good impression on fans, as well as corporate sponsors/backers. Tickets for the Royal Rumble event will be available from November 18, while few seats remain for AEW Dynasty with the sale having began a few weeks back.
Interestingly, while the shows will be vying for the lion’s share of attention across the weekend, they won’t overlap in any way, unlike what we’ve seen previously. This year, AEW All In preceded NXT Heatwave by around two hours, leading to an overlap between the events.
In fact, they’ll meet head-to-head this Wednesday, when NXT switches night due to the election coverage. That night, Cody Rhodes and John Cena will make appearances on the show. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on both the WWE Royal Rumble and AEW Dynasty as soon as we hear more.
