Big Bill is set to make the move from AEW to WWE.

Back in May, Fightful Select reported that Big Bill’s contract with All Elite Wrestling was set to expire this summer, prompting speculation over a possible WWE return alongside Enzo Amore, with the company believed to be interested in reuniting the pair.

That reunion now appears to be on the cards, as Fightful Select reports that Big Bill has given his notice to All Elite Wrestling and is poised to return to WWE. The report adds that plans are also in place for Enzo Amore to be signed.

“Fightful Select has confirmed that his deal is up over the next week. In addition to that, Bill officially gave his notice to All Elite Wrestling. Big Bill is poised to return to WWE, where he performed as Big Cass for a number of years. In addition, plans call for Enzo Amore to be signed by the company, though he wasn’t officially inked to a deal as of mid-June.”

Furthermore, Fightful note that, according to those within WWE, the company wanted to ensure Big Bill had entered free agency before making a move to sign the pair, lending further weight to the idea that a reunion has been the plan all along.

In late May, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE planned for Enzo Amore to return to NXT. With Big Bill now set to become a free agent imminently, it will be interesting to see whether any teasers are provided during tonight’s episode.

Big Bill will depart All Elite Wrestling as a former AEW World Tag Team Champion alongside Ricky Starks, who now performs for WWE on Friday Night SmackDown as Ricky Saints. The tail end of his AEW run has primarily seen him team with Bryan Keith, following their alignment under the Learning Tree of Chris Jericho.

Enzo and Cass are not the only anticipated WWE arrivals, as recent reports have indicated that Zilla Fatu is also expected to join the company. You can read read about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Big Bill’s impending return to WWE as soon as we hear more.
